The lineage
Three generations of Sheffield steelmakers.
My father worked in steel, and his father before him. I also worked in steel alongside my father. So did my uncles, my cousins, and most of the men I grew up around — a family that lived inside the heat and the noise of one of the hardest industries this country ever built.
Steelmaking does not tolerate mediocre. The metal will tell you. The men around you will tell you sharper. You learn that the work is the work — no clever way out, no shortcut that holds, no story that survives a bad batch.
We make rum to the same standard. Small batch. Hand-crafted. Nothing in the bottle that has not earned its place. When we say Forged In Sheffield®, we mean it the way our fathers meant it — not a phrase. A fact.
The making
We work in small batches. One copper still, hand-loaded, run slow enough to keep what matters. Our facility is small but capable — Sheffield-sized, Sheffield-built, run by people who learned to make things properly. Nothing here is sourced and rebadged. Every bottle is ours.
Our Rums
British-distilled · Cask-mellowed
Distilled in Sheffield from cane molasses through our copper still, then cask-mellowed for character. The molasses is what we start with; the rum is ours.
Spiced rum · Sheffield-blended
The same Sheffield-distilled molasses base as our Cask-Mellowed, then rested with six warm spices. Sweet-warm, structured, an autumn pour.
